The church of God in Novaliches was started in 1990 in Sis. Rhodora "Bambi" V. Lim' s residence. At first, it was a pioneering work started by Rev. Nomer B. Trinidad. During that time, a fresh graduate of the Apostolic Center For Theological Studies (ACTS), I received a Macedonian Call to work in Novaliches which that time I was also opening a growing work in Malabon, Metro Manila. With much prayers and divine confirmation, I decided to move from Malabon to Novaliches and began to work with Lim Family, Manguiat Family, Edith Sazon, Jimenez Family, Salera Family, Fabro Family, and Guimbaolibot Family as pioneer members. On March 24, 1991 we felt the need to be recognized as sovereign church so, we decided that I should be installed as pastor of the UPC Gulod, Novaliches. One year later, with strong reason and divine leading, we moved to San Agustin, Novaliches, Quezon City. There, we stayed for 5 years working and building faith on brethren's lives. Inasmuch as, we' have experienced a tremendous growth numerically and spiritually, we' were constrained to look for a bigger place. |
Consequently, God has led us to the place where we are now at the UPC BAYAN, Novaliches - United Pentecostal Church # 52 Ramirez St. Novaliches Proper, Novaliches, Quezon City. The church will celebrate its 19th year anniversary on March 28, 2010. We have witnessed the power of God and have experienced the grace God in our lives for more than a decade. Those years were very remarkable years for us. With that period of time, we were able to plant churches, to mention, Agusan Del Sur pastored by Sis. Marciana Simodlan - Kalibo, Aklan by Pastor Bob Arcenio; SJDM City, Bulacan by Pastor Alvin Urbano ; Sauyo, Novaliches by Pastor Allan Salera; Blumentritt by Pastor Albert Raymundo; Ugong, Valenzuela by Pastor Jaime Bautista. Later on, more potential churches will be established (San Miguel, Bulacan - Bro. Dondon Dullano & Bro. Willie Villar -Pulilan, Bulacan, Bro. Lito Umapas, Gumaok, SJDM City) and UPC Bagumbong, Caloocan City We thank the Lord for the things he has done in our lives and for the things he will do more in his church before he comes. |

For over 15 years, we have been longing and praying for a place we can call a House of Prayer. Throughout those years, we were as Jews wandering from place to place hoping for a land and for a dwelling place whose builder and maker is God. But we firmly believe that He is more than able to perform what He had promised. Therefore, we took parts to acquire a lot and build a house for God, believing in our heart for divine providence and provision. King Solomon, the wise man once said, "I will build a house of habitation for You, and a place for your dwelling forever." God doesn't need a house to live in as we do. God doesn't sleep, so he doesn't need a bedroom. He doesn't need to eat as we do, so he doesn't need a dining room. God doesn't get tired, so he has no need for a sitting room. But when the Bible tells about building a house for God we must remember that it was not like our houses. It is but the House of the Lord, and surely the presence of the Lord is in that house. We shall also receive our portion and may we all say, "LORD, WE WILL BUILD THEE A HOUSE OF WORSHIP!" Your donations and support for this endeavor are highly appreciated. IDENTIFYING YOUR GIFTS (PAGTUKLAS SA IYONG KALOOB) According to the Scriptures when we received the Holy Ghost, the Lord has also given us gifts (Acts 2:38; Mathew 7:11; Romans 12:6; I Corinthians 12:6; Ephesians 4:8). What we have received is not only the Spirit of God but also the Gifts of the Spirit. The Gifts of the Spirit are given to benefit the work of God in ministering to the body of Christ and to all who are in need. (I Corinthians 12:11; Romans 11:29) It is our solemn responsibility to discover, develop, enhance and use the gifts of the Spirit with godly wisdom in the fruit of the Spirit for the glory of God. If you really want to please God in your life, fulfill the will of God (Matthew 7:15-23). It will greatly help you by honestly answering the questions below to identify your gift.
